Things to do when in Hersonissos
Lychnostatis Open Air Museum
Lychnostatis Open Air Museum is the thread between you and the Cretan Folk Culture and Ethnology and the Cretan Nature and Environment; the path to go back in time and explore the Cretan charming origins.
The exhibitions are based on a private collection of Yiorgos Markakis, and they have been awarded. The museum is only 23 mins on foot from Sea Breeze Hotel.
Hersonissos Old Village
It all began in the village of Ano Hersonissos, about 2 kilometres uphill from our hotel. The village has a long history and has existed since the Minoan era.
This village has picturesque alleys with typical Cretan architecture. The cosy village square is the ideal place to sample local wine and Cretan flavours in one of the many traditional tavernas.
Imagine a place where you could observe at once a wide presentation of the species and ecosystems of the Mediterranean. This place is the CRETAquarium Thalassokosmos, only 12Km away from Sea Breeze Hotel. A visit will amaze you!
